FAQ

What is a federal contracting vehicle?

A vehicle is a pre-competed master contract (Schedule, GWAC, MAC, or BPA) that lets agencies issue task orders to a vetted pool of primes without re-running a full procurement. Primes get faster sales cycles; agencies get speed.

Should I pursue a Schedule, a GWAC, or a MAC?

Schedules (like GSA MAS) are open and easier to get on. GWACs and MACs are pool-limited but typically have higher-quality task orders. Most growing firms pursue both — start with a Schedule to build past performance, then chase GWACs.

How long does it take to get on a vehicle?

GSA MAS: 6-12 months. GWACs/MACs: typically only awarded during periodic on-ramps (every 3-7 years), and the proposal process itself takes 6-9 months. Plan accordingly.
